Snowboarding
Snowboarders will tell you that the sensations of snowboarding are nothing like those of skiing. Whether you want to learn the sport or are looking for fresh challenges, you have come to the right place! In Méribel, you can make your very first turns, or enjoy the pleasures of riding in powder or discover new freestyle thrills in the resort’s snow parks.
From mini-rider packages for children aged from 4 to group lessons for adults who are just starting out, you can learn snowboarding at any age. With the help of an instructor, you will learn the right techniques from the very start, so you make good progress and have fun from day one.
Méribel offers several areas reserved for freestyle. These secure areas offer obstacles and terrain for riders of all levels. In particular, don’t miss:
– the Open Park, and its ROOKIE zone which is ideal for beginners;
– the Elements Park, with its red level boardercross made up of a succession of bumps and banked turns.
Snowboards are made for powder snow. For experienced snowboarders, a freeride outing with an instructor or guide is the perfect way to discover the joys of riding on ungroomed slopes. You’ll take the ski lifts up and head off to untouched slopes, away from the pistes.
To discover freeriding in safety, be sure to get in touch with the resort’s professional teachers who can to show you the right way.
