Experience ultimate skiing in Méribel: follow in the tracks of champions.
In 2023, Méribel and Courchevel had the pleasure of hosting the Alpine World Ski Championships.
Bringing together 600 athletes from 75 countries, this event is the most prestigious in the world of skiing after the Olympic Games. For 12 days, spectators were treated to an unforgettable sporting spectacle in a thrilling and festive atmosphere.
The resort has also seen numerous athletes compete around the vast 3 Vallées ski area.
So you can follow in the footsteps of these champions, here is an overview of the exceptional and unmissable slopes in Méribel and the 3 Vallées🎖️.
Located at the top of the Olympic chairlift, at an altitude of 2,294 metres, the Roc de Fer piste offers a 360° view of Méribel, the Belleville valley and the Écrins massif. In December 2024, the skiers’ tunnel beneath the slope will be decorated with a street art fresco by the pioneer of poetic muralism, Franck Blériot.
Created for the 1992 Olympic Games, this piste has hosted numerous international alpine skiing competitions, putting many many champions into the history books. Among them are the 2013 World Cup women skiers and, more recently, competitors at the 2023 World Championships.
Although it gets off to a gentle start with a gently rolling first section, this piste is notorious for its changes of pace, cambered slopes and a particularly intense final part.
