Landlords
One of Méribel’s major assets, in which it compares favourably with other resorts, is the cachet of having kept its original architectural style.
Many of the valley’s apartments and chalets already benefit from inclusion in the national tourist accommodation rating system. This classification is based mainly on quantitative criteria (size of rooms, equipment etc), and does not sufficiently take into account the quality of accommodation.
This is why Méribel Tourist Office has created the Méribel Label, an independent classification system specifically for the Allues valley, that gives more impotance to elements such as comfort, ambiance and decoration, which contribute to the ‘chalet’ image the resort has enjoyed since 1948.
The Méribel Label gives more importance to the quality of floor and wall coverings, the use of typical mountain materials such as wood and rustic plaster. It also takes into account the harmony of furniture, textiles and lighting as well as up-to-date bathrooms and kitchens.
So, by going beyond the normal technical specifications, the Méribel Label guarantees quality accommodation, a harmonious decoration of all rooms and, above all, a mountain style and a warm and comfortable chalet atmosphere.
