The Franglish in a few words:

“Stand-up has been a strong tradition in Méribel for over 20 years, and it’s important to celebrate it. We decided to organize this event because I believe comedians are the most insightful commentators of our time. And in these particular times, we need that insight. And most of all, a good laugh.”

– Richard Lett, Co-director of The Franglish

Bringing together French comedians who speak English and English comedians who speak French? That’s the idea behind the Franglish Comedy Festival.

🔎 This festival draws its inspiration from New York clubs of the 1950s. By blending direct interaction and improvisation in response to audience reactions, this style offers an authentic experience of connection with the crowd.

A sneak preview of the comedians 🔥 :

Tatty Macleod

Tatty Macleod will be Master of Ceremonies for the bilingual “Franglish” show, where she will perform in both English and French. She will also perform in English at the English gala.

Tatty is a Franco-British stand-up based in London. Also known as “that French TikTok lady”, she has built up a huge community thanks to her original sketches. She has rocked crowds across Europe and conquered the stages of some of the UK’s craziest venues, including the Comedy Store and Glee Clubs. And that’s not all! As well as making us howl with laughter, she is a regular contributor to i-Paper and is currently working on her first non-fiction book.

Tareek

A French comedian, Tareek was first noticed by Jamel Debbouze, who invited him to join the Jamel Comedy Club, where he stayed for three years. He then gained wider recognition when he appeared on the show La France a un incroyable talent and went on to perform as the opening act for major comedians like Gad Elmaleh.

His greatest strength? Tareek approaches his shows as a friendly evening among friends, where conversations are honest and sometimes raw. That’s why he enjoys interacting with his audience, pushing a few boundaries, and, above all, offering a unique experience at every performance.

He shares his life as a divorced dad and the little everyday moments that everyone can relate to.
