TICKET OFFICE 🎫

Franglish in a nutshell:

Bringing together French comedians who speak English and English comedians who speak French? That’s the idea behind the Franglish Comedy Festival, an event born of collaboration between the Méribel Tourist Office and the agency Piste Productions.

For your enjoyment, Méribel welcomes 9 renowned artists from the international comedy scene, to make you laugh after your days on the slopes. A true linguistic and cultural mosaic!

This year’s event, dubbed “American stand-up“, draws its inspiration from the New York clubs of the 1950s. By combining direct interaction and improvisation in response to audience reactions, this style provides an authentic experience of exchange with the public. The artists will also be challenged to create a show in their own language…

Who will you see? English, American, French and Irish! We’re talking about the crème de la crème here, winners of prestigious awards, headliners on the most prestigious stages, regulars on television screens…

Et Voila ! Here they are, your comedy dream team : Jérémy Charbonnel, Nick Doody, Marcus Brigstocke, Tatty Macleod, Andrew Maxwell, Rachel Parris, Rémi Marceau, Tania Dutel et Sebastian Marx.

So, be sure to be there, 29 January to 2 February 2024 from 8-11pm, for the gala shows at the Auditorium and for after ski in the bars of Méribel.

PROGRAMMATION

Message from the co-producer of Franglish:

“Stand-up has had a strong tradition in Méribel for over 20 years and it’s important to celebrate it. We decided to organise this event because I believe that comedians are the most lucid commentators on our times. And in these special times, we need lucidity. And above all, a good laugh.”

Richard Lett, director of the agency Piste Productions

A sneak preview of the comedians 🔥 :

Tatty Macleod

Tatty Macleod will be Master of Ceremonies for the bilingual “Franglish” show, where she will perform in both English and French. She will also perform in English at the English gala.

Tatty is a Franco-British stand-up based in London. Also known as “that French TikTok lady”, she has built up a huge community thanks to her original sketches. She has rocked crowds across Europe and conquered the stages of some of the UK’s craziest venues, including the Comedy Store and Glee Clubs. And that’s not all! As well as making us howl with laughter, she is a regular contributor to i-Paper and is currently working on her first non-fiction book.

Nick Doody

Intelligent, original and hilarious, Nick Doody is one of the UK’s leading contemporary political comedians, as well as being an engaging live performer and a prolific comedy writer for TV and radio.

Nick has appeared on various radio and TV shows and is also much in demand as a writer. He has penned jokes for Joan Rivers, Lenny Henry, Dame Edna Everage and an uncomfortable number of Mock The Week regulars. He was also the creator and head writer of Bigipedia, a critically acclaimed Radio 4 show that broadcast in 2009 and 2011.

His skiing is also getting better!
