Méribel pays special attention to families because, fundamentally, they are what’s most precious. Having been awarded ‘Family plus’ status, Méribel decided to do more, in conjunction with a partner that’s close to our hearts. The Association Petits Princes was created in 1987 to turn dreams into reality for children and teenagers seriously ill with cancer, leukaemia and certain genetic conditions. The charity doesn’t restrict its activities to making a single dream come true, and is the only charity in France to do this. In partnerships with 150 hospitals throughout France, several dreams can be organised for one child, according to his interests, the timetable of treatments and evolution of his disease. A child who can live out his dreams and passions is a child who can find extra energy to battle against his illness.
Last year, Méribel was delighted to welcome Nohann, a “little Prince” Nohann, aged 8 years. Originally from the island of Réunion, Nohann, who had never seen the snow, was able to live his dreams. Fairy-tale husky-sled rides through the forests, sledding behind a pony, magic tours, a trip in a snow groomer, snake sledding, ski lessons: Méribel put all its heart into introducing him to our world and making his dreams come true.
Méribel’s ESF ski school also organised torchlight descents during the school holidays last winter and €1 from every torch sold was given to the Petits Princes charity.
Because €1 can change everything. Because with just €1, you can contribute to a dream, to promote the happiness, the smiles andthe magic in the heart of a sick child. And that is priceless. On behalf of Petits Princes charity and all sick children:
Since 1987, 7 000 dreams have come true.
Be a part of it today.
