The advances in green technology continue to revolutionise our daily lives and leisure activities.

Mountain biking and electric biking are massively growing in popularity and they have become firmly established in Méribel which boasts many ideal mountain routes. Mountain bikes and electric bikes extend the limits of how far, how long and where you can ride: everybody, including families and beginners, can now explore the vast and varied mountain areas in safety and without too much effort. Come and make the most of the many trails and routes that run through forests and mountain pastures, past lakes and even up to the very summits!

For several years, Méribel’s Bike Park has offered routes specifically designed for electric mountain bikes (called “VAE” in French) and now it has six such routes.

This summer, come and discover the 3 new itineraries for e-MTBs starting from the Altiport. This is a great way to get into mountain biking either on your own or with family and friends, and without any pressure or risk of overexertion.

A unique electric bike experience for your holiday in France

The “Courchevel – Méribel Electric” circuit via Col de la Loze

This 20.5km path will take you to discover an area of les 3 Vallées and its magnificent landscapes.

The start point is at the Altiport. You will skirt Méribel’s magnificent golf course, cross forests and mountain pastures, and head towards the col de la Loze pass which is one of the legendary Tour de France mountain stages. Once you arrive at the top, you will see in front of you one of the most beautiful panoramas in the Alps, with a 360° view of peaks and le Mont-Blanc!

You will then descend to Courchevel 1850, and finally return to Méribel via the Altiport forest.

With an electric mountain bike, you can take this trail without difficulties. The 930m total ascent can be achieved by anybody thanks to a little extra help from an electric motor!
