Méribel THE LITTLE QUEEN OF THE ALPS
Test your bike on the tracks of the Tour de France and climb the mythical passes of the Alps
This summer, make the most of mountain biking in the French Alps and treat yourself to incredible rides around the roads of les 3 Vallées. Mainly graded black, these routes will delight both bicycle tourers and experienced road cyclists.
Are you ready for the challenges offered by Méribel and les 3 Vallées?
Cycling continues to develop in Méribel and you can now climb up to 2,304 m thanks to the spectacular Col de la Loze. This allows you to reach the resort of Courchevel via several routes of up to 65 km long with 1,970 m of total ascent.
Riders can therefore ride through extremely varied mountain landscapes, through forests, traditional villages, Alpine pastures and over mountain passes which offer panoramic and spectacular views of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps and the Vanoise, including le Mont-Blanc.
Méribel has much to offer keen road bikers, including the chance to climb from one legendary mountain pass to the next. The resort is a great starting point for many itineraries which allow you to discover nearby legendary passes. These include Col de la Madeleine, Col de l’Iseran, Col du Glandon, Cormet de Roselend, Col du Petit Saint Bernard and, a little further afield, Col San Carlo in Italy.
Less seasoned riders can make the most of the Allues valley and enjoy beautiful rides around circuits via Courchevel, Bozel or Champagny-en-Vanoise.
